ボラカイ島

ボラカイ島は、パナイ島の北西に隣接するフィリピン有数のリゾート島です。

欧米人の間では以前から　未開発の素朴な島として人気がありましたが、
数年前から開発が進み、今ではにぎやかなビーチリゾートに生まれ変わりました。

島の西側に広がる約4kmのホワイトビーチには
様々なクラスの宿泊施設、レストランやバー、ダイビングショップなどが並んでいます。

ビーチの砂はまるでミルクのような白さときめ細かさです。

水深1.5mくらいの遠浅のビーチが沖合い50mまで続いており、
海水の透明度も抜群です。

この真っ白なビーチが夕暮れには真っ赤に染まります。

スキューバダイビングも盛んで、島内には約20件のダイビングショップがあります。
